Summmmmmerrr

Yea, so it's summer again. This means that insult basically dies for three months. Ah well.

By the way, the photo over on the right is of Janet Reno kissing Martin Sheen.. yea.. I know.

I've been enjoying the past few weeks, its odd seeing people back in Branford. Many folks graduated, not as many as we all would have expected six years ago though. Six years being the summer before Junior year, before we all even picked the schools to apply to.

I think the most striking thing is that these are people we used to see daily, even if we despised their presence. Now, four years goes by, and its just amazing to see how different someone can look. And people change.

Back while still in high school, I'd see situations in movies or on T.V. about seeing old high school kids and it was always so chummy and fake. Back then, I'd see that and think it was so silly.. but I suppose its human nature to act that way towards someone with a bond like that. You grew up together.

I just have a few complaints regarding bars though. First, you request people pay a cover charge, and you won't have nearly as many customers. People have choices, and will go somewhere cheaper. Second, you can't be half club and half bar with no dance floor and one room. It's too loud to talk, and you can't do anything but stand around staring around. Last, urinals urinals urinals! Booze makes piss, and if you make people wait, they'll piss on the floor.

It's movie time again.. I saw Sum of all Fears, Undercover Brother, Insomnia, and I look forward to seeing Attack of the Clones (at this rate, I'll have to wait for DVD), Spiderman (ditto), MIB2, and some others I can't recall at the moment. I also rented some new releases, such as Harry Potter.. first time seeing that, and it was pretty good. And some old movies, like Taxi Driver. I don't know why I hadn't seen it.. I suppose its not the best movie for television. I didn't really enjoy it, it was sort of stupid at times.. ending blew.

My car is in aweful shape. I am debating whether or not to bother with its next oil change.. I have put over half a dozen quarts in this month and the month is not even half over. But on the other hand, they fill up the rest of my fluids and vacuum the car.. and fill the thing up with oil (which ain't cheap if you buy 10W-30 at Mobil). I hate it.

I don't know why I'm still awake, I should be in bed.
