So, I'm back at school. The room's alright, I've set up some of my stuff in my half of the room. Monitors, consoles, things like that. It feels really small, and this from someone who didn't even have a room this past summer. The roommate isn't here yet. The smart bettors have their money on his name being of Turkish origin, but I don't know yet.

The room I'm guessing is maybe 14ft x 12ft, and it has one 3-foot wide window. I guess that's not that weird or anything, but the lack of sunlight really harms the room's liveability. The air was stale as hell when I moved in, I need the electric light on all the time. There's so much room available for a lengthened window, but no.

Being back with J is sweet - I'm a very short walk (5 minutes) away from her house. Compared to last year, where I was 25-30 odd minutes away, it's a real improvement. The elevator in the building is a slow bitch.

Finances seem to be alright currently. Financial Aid is going to be a bastard - I'm going to have to fill out the same 35 fucking forms that I've been filling out for the past 6 semesters, request the same unsubsidized loan I've requested for the past 3 years, wait, wait, wait. Dirty monotony.

The showers have high-powered heads on them, which is surprising and fantastic. Usually the water strength from dorm showers is underwhelming; the ones we have are swell.

I'm looking for a job. I hate loking for jobs while I'm out doing something else. We go to the mall, I pick up an application at Electronics Boutique, and the rest of my day is a fight against the forces of folding, staining, and scuff marking. You know, because I don't want to hand in a dirty application if/when I get around to filling it out. It's remarkably hard to keep a couple of pieces of paper in good condition when you're not carrying them in a container. Despite anything you may or may not have heard, I'm not smart enough to actually wait until the end of the day to pick up the application. Cross I bear and so forth.

Halloween/end of October thing would be interesting, but I think we all have our fall breaks on different weekends. Next time we have a party, though, I want to mix up a punch (a real punch). I've always meant to make one, but I've never had occasion sizeable enough to do it.

I hate how the word "reuben" is spelled, and like how the word "twee" is spelled. "Twee" is a funny word, though.
