RINGU!!!

Okay, so I just got done watching that movie "The Ring", supposed to be all scary and frightening. Bloody has been quoted as saying, "Let's watch a light romantic comedy now," after seeing it in the theater with Lio. A random reviewer on IMDB.com says, "My wife and son were so freaked out by it that they refuse to even be in the room when I watch it - but, then we all have very active imaginations."

My question, now, is this: How was it scary?

I think I missed something important while watching this film. Hrm. Can anyone clue me in? It wasn't terrible or anything, it just wasn't scary.
