luck 'o' the irish

I recently find myself in quite a pickle. And I apologize, this has nothing to do with Sean's days in Nam. I hear enough war stories from him.

I decided over a month ago that my happiness was more important than anyone elses. And to achieve this happiness I need to go to art school in boston. There was no problem with this plan. I applied last year and got in, so I figured everything would run smoothly, but no, that would be to easy. In order to apply, Massachusetts College of Art must receive my transcripts from here and high school. Ok, well thats understandable. This school refuses to send them because I owe them money, a large problem because at 19 I am having trouble finding ways to pay tuition. Short of selling my body and soul on the corner of Broad and South (don't ask me how I know that corner), I figure I have to take out a loan. But, considering the time of year, it wouldn't make any logical sense to take out a loan without first knowing how much I need for next semester, again, an amount I won't know until I am accepted or denied. Within this, ladies and gentlemen, is the pickle which I referred to earlier. I can not go forward or backward. To add to this mess, if I were to take a semester off to make enough to go to school, I would lose my federal aid and not be able to go back. If I take a semester at Southern, I may not be able to get transferable credits for a bachelor of arts. And, as a grand finale to this shitfest, good old BHS can not "re send" the transcripts the supposedly already sent when I initially asked them to, because, get this, my entire classes records are being sent out to be put on microfilm! yes that is the most ridiculous string of bad luck i have ever heard of in my entire life, and no it does not surprise me that it's my luck, because kids, things like this always happen to me. guess it's the luck of the irish, go figure.
