Insult Update

You may have experienced a small outage today. I moved the Insult.org SQL database to a different server (twice the processor speed, twice the memory, twice the sweet lovin').

Things should be okay now. I will be moving the site as well to another server sometime this week.

The new feature implementations are going to be put off for another week.

Also, coming soon to that big stupid left bar menu thing will be world news (of my selection, fuck you if you dont care about it), hot links to the comics (which will be improved too)...

Another thing is, I will be making additional versions of this site (under other names). The other sites will have a different Author selection. I have received enough email messages to know what authors will be grouped where. Keep your bookmarks on Insult though, since it will continue to contain ALL authors.

Prior to the launching of the other baby Insults, you (the visitor) will have hte opportunity to rate all of the authors. If you hate an author, you can permanently scar their quality ratings by saying they suck in a handly little poll type thing. There may be a contest on which author gets the lowest rating. Only authors that have posted in hte last 4 weeks will be included in the contest. I will be excluded from ranking.

The most hated Insult poster is one of these people: hunch, Qava, SpoDudeZ0r, GatekeeperTDS, Calliander, FlyingTim, and Stone.

That list comes from email complaints. I would be on that list if I hadn't excluded myself.. in fact I receive more complaints about me than anyone else.
