How?

How do you rationalize doing something like this? Why? I know this isn't a good post, but I don't think anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about.

If you believe in God, now's the time to pray. If you don't, now's the time to hope that people are okay. This is a time of unity. A time to hope that we get a logical solution to this, which doesn't involve bombing Afghanistan or pulling all of the allied nations together to punish someone, as one idiot senator was saying. The Taliban has made every effort possible, as quickly as possible, to let us know that they deplore the actions of Bin Laden. And we don't even know that Bin Laden did it, anyway. But they knew that we would immediately blame him and wanted to distance themselves from him as soon as possible.
