Guy Rules

Guy Rule #239 states "Any woman a guy dates is off-limits to his buddies, FOREVER. Even if said woman approaches one of the buddies, is a nymphomaniac, and looks like Cindy Crawford, the buddy MUST turn her down out of respect."

Guy Rule #239 section 1 adds "Once your buddy has dated a woman, she is forever off the list. You may never date her. Even if your friend gives permission, he's lying -- it would hurt him if you started dating her."

But, it was also noted in a forum that "... circumstances have arisen that may warrant an exception...

a. He broke up with her
b. ...a long time ago.
c. He's moving to another state.

It would be possible to date her without him knowing, but I would never do that. So, with his permission, would this qualify as an exception?"

It's complicated, and I think a safe rule of thumb is to basically not go near an ex. The rule is even more blurry when you're not sure if someone is an ex-girlfriend. Someone you sort of dated in High School but didn't have sex with.. is she still an ex?

But really, it doesn't matter how desperate you are or how drunk/wated you are.. it's not a good idea. AskMen.com has a good article about this as well

I agree with both Tim and Calliander here.. the whole vague story telling that has been going on with this is just plain confusing for everyone, including people who are involved, or think they are involved.
