I agree that the 4th of July has lost pretty much all of its meaning. I still, however, get teary-eyed when watching the fireworks go off. Just because Dubya and the Privacy Invaders are fucking up our nation doesn't mean that I have lost sight of what my country should stand for.

Now what is with all these fucking idiots saying that Grand Theft Auto III has been banned? I've searched the New York Times, the Washington Post, and even some of those shitty papers like the Daily News and the Register for articles about it; I've checked GameStop, Amazon, EB, and CompUSA and each site has the game available, in stock, and ready to ship in a few days. So why are people coming into my place of business and repeatedly saying that it's been banned? What the fuck are these morons thinking? The government can't just spontaneously ban something because a few conservative religious types are upset that you bang a hooker for health in the game. Fuck those people. Maybe at Joe's Video Game HQ in Buttcrack, Illinois, the game was pulled off of the shelf, but that's not banning the shit. That's aforementioned asshole conservative religious type being him/herself. Fuck that. The game's not banned. Shitheads.

But yeah, Thanksgiving rocks. And so does Ben Franklin.
